As a young musician with her band, “Pitche Blende,” Laurie toured frequently with Dick Wagner & The Frost, Bob Seger, Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent. Her vocal flexibility took her on a broad-based career, performing with B.B King, the Spinners, big band leader Les Elgart, and “The Buckinghams.” In later years, Laurie became a member of “The New Mamas and the Papas,” touring with original Papas John Phillips & Denny Doherty, as well as with Spanky McFarlane. Laurie was a featured soloist on Dick Wagner’s song and video for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, “If I had the Time, I Could Change the World.”
